Snowdon caught picking a winner

Labor MP Warren Snowden is caught picking his nose during Question Time while frontbencher Tony Burke speaks at the despatch box.

KEVIN Rudd became an internet sensation with his famous ear wax eating in federal parliament. Now Labor MP Warren Snowdon has opted for the nose pick during question time.

The Lingiari MP was captured on television broadcasts this afternoon cleaning his nostrils out while Labor frontbencher Tony Burke spoke at the despatch box and complained about how the opposition was being treated in the house.

Mr Snowdon opts for two attempts with his little finger – one in each nostril – before stopping. He did not eat it.

Mr Snowdon's office said he was unavailable to comment.

One clip of Mr Rudd picking his ear wax while Labor frontbencher Anthony Albanese spoke in parliament during Labor's days in opposition has since attracted 917,000 views.

Last year, then Labor minister Gary Gray appeared to pull a strand of hair out while sitting on the frontbenches and eat it.
