A QANTAS plane travelling from Los Angeles to Melbourne was forced to return to the US about one hour after takeoff because of a burst water pipe.
A spokeswoman for the airline confirmed the flight, QF 94, had returned to LA because of leaking water, but said there were no safety concerns for passengers on-board.
"Crew on board did everything they could to help customers, including moving them to unaffected areas and providing spare blankets so they could stay dry," the spokeswoman said.
"There were no safety of flight concerns with the water leak, however the Captain decided to return to LA in the interests of passenger comfort."

The plane left LA at about 11pm local time on Tuesday (4pm Wednesday AEST) and was an Airbus A380.
The leaked water was drinking water kept in pipes on-board, the spokeswoman said.
Some reports on Twitter suggested the water soaked through the roof into economy.
A Qantas spokesman confirmed to AAP the aircraft was being examined by engineers in Los Angeles and that Qantas was in contact with Airbus to establish the cause of the fault.
"We're also providing customers with hotel accommodation while the issue is being fixed by our engineers in Los Angeles."

Passengers took to social media to share photos of the waterlogged cabin, including Yvette Nicole Brown, an American actress who stars in the TV sitcom Community.
"Pipe burst on my #Qantas flight over the Pacific. We were diverted back to LA. River running through the aisles," she posted as she was on her way to Melbourne for @OzComicCon.
